Here are the top 5 cricket match fight moments in history that you should never miss.

5 Heated Moments on Cricket Ground in History – Cricket Biggest Fight

  • Shane Warne vs Marlon Samuels

The largest of them all must be the altercation between Shane Warne and Marlon Samuel. Being ‘The Bad Boy’ in his day, Shane Warne fits in well with this one. However, this event occurred during a BBL game between the Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades, far after his time as an international player. Marlon Samuels was consuming a bowl from Renegades during the Stars innings as David Hussey was on strike. Samuels humorously attempted to grab Hussey’s jersey during one of the deliveries, even though there was no second run being attempted by Hussey. The Stars captain, though, didn’t take kindly to this. When Samuels was at the crease in the second inning, Warne began berating him, some of which could be heard on the player mic he was wearing.

When Warne intentionally and slowly tossed the ball directly towards Samuels in the following over after fielding it, things spiraled out of control. Samuels flung his bat wildly into the air, having had enough at this point. It took quite a bit of time away from the game as the umpires came together to try to settle things down. The very next ball that Lasith Malinga bowled, first up, took the top edge of the bat and slammed against the grill of Samuel’s helmet as Warne introduced him from the other end. Samuels, who was bleeding profusely from his mouth, instantly withdrew injured and returned to the sheds. One of the most revolting battles ever seen took place here. This was one of the biggest cricket fights between players in history.

  • Andrew Symonds vs Harbhajan Singh

As was previously established, Harbhajan Singh was frequently involved in fights that broke out on the field. The so-called “MonkeyGate” incident took place at the SCG during a test match between Australia and India. Bhajji and Symonds were seen sparring during India’s innings while Sachin Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh were at the crease. According to Symonds, Harbhajan dubbed him a “Monkey,” a derogatory term for the black population.

It was a significant accusation since Harbhajan might have been held accountable for racial vilification. But Harbhajan was certain that he never used a swear word; rather, he would say “maaki,” which in his dialect means “your mother.” After the game, the charges against Harbhajan were continually reduced due to the possibility that the Indians would abandon their trip midway through. Many Australians would argue that Bhajji got off easy and that Symonds’ downfall began with this event. In each of their professional lives, it was a pivotal time.

  • Gautam Gambhir vs Virat Kohli

Despite being from different generations, the two Delhi cricketers Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli always had a mutual admiration for one another. In 2009, Kohli and Gambhir had an excellent partnership that resulted in Gambhir scoring a magnificent 150 and Kohli scoring his first century in international play against Sri Lanka. The left-hander received the Player of the Match award for his outstanding performance, but he had the grace to give it to Kohli after the game.

Things changed, though, when the 2013 IPL match included both players arguing in front of the entire world and changed into a cricket match fight. The former RCB captain muttered a few things after being fired that infuriated his KKR adversary. After a brief verbal exchange, they had to be separated. Even though it has been a while, this fight is still remembered as one of the worst in the tournament’s history.

  • MS Dhoni vs Yuvraj Singh

MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh served as the cornerstones of India’s batting order in the limited-overs format for many years. The Men in Blue had great success in the white-ball formats when both of them were at the top of their game.

The two veterans’ success on the field led to a strong bond between them off it as well. After Yuvraj was benched by his close friend Dhoni from the Indian team, their unique friendship soured, though.

Yograj Singh, Yuvraj’s father, and a former international cricket player criticized the wicketkeeper-batter for betraying his son when he was shown the departure door. Even the all-rounder publicly criticized Dhoni for not backing him up enough after his retirement.

  • Sachin Tendulkar vs Vinod Kambli

Last from our list of big fights in cricket between Vinod Kambli and Sachin Tendulkar became pals when they were young. Despite having a two-year age gap, they became closer since they played cricket together for their school’s team. After forming an enormous alliance during a Harries Shield game, which was a world record effort at the time, they both became well-known athletes.

With time, their bond deepened, and it persisted within the Indian dressing room. But once Kambli was cut from the Indian team, they both became estranged from one another. The southpaw had accused the “Master Blaster” of severing the bonds and cutting him off in remarks made on a reality TV program.

Even more, Kambli had reprimanded Tendulkar for failing to mention him by name in his farewell address and for not inviting him and his family to the retirement party. However, it appears that the two cricket players have resolved their issues and are once again on speaking terms. Even occasionally, they can be seen on each other’s social media feeds.
