It was the West Indies again who were the opponents and Anderson scored his century in 36 balls at Queenstown. The match was held on New Years’ day. It was the 3rd ODI of the series of the West Indies tour of New Zealand. Anderson and Jesse Ryder set up a 191-run partnership and the former batter ended his innings at 131 from 47 balls with a run rate of 278.72. His innings consisted of fourteen 6s and six 4s. The Kiwis scored 283 and West Indies lost by 159 runs.

Shahid Afridi vs Sri Lanka - 37 Balls in October 1996⁣

The former captain of Pakistan, Shahid Afridi maintains the third fastest century in the ODIs, which was the fastest for almost 18 years. He scored it against Sri Lanka in the year 1996. It was his first time batting in international cricket. The match was held at the KCA Centenary Tournament in Nairobi and the feisty all-rounder came in at the third position and established a partnership with the opener, Saeed Anwar. He scored the century in 37 balls with six 4s and eleven 6s with a strike rate of 255 during the innings. He lost the wicket 3 balls after completing the century and Pakistan scored a total of 371 beating their subcontinent rivals by 82 runs.

He scored 147 runs in 68 balls at a run rate of 216.17 and his innings included eight 4s and ten 6s. South Africa hit a total of 400 for the second time in the year and won the match by 171 runs.

He scored his century in 45 balls and the batter went off the field at 117 in 62 balls at a rate of 188.70. His innings included eighteen 4s and four 6s and the West Indies scored a total of 314 and won the game by 109 runs.
